Camp

So I a lot of this post written out...well really all of it and I was waiting on pictures and guess what.  My computer restarted and I lost it all!  Urg ah well.  So I figured I would rewrite it and then just post it since I still don't have the photos and it is almost a month past camp.  Oops :)  So here it goes... Oh my camp, I don't even know where to start this this post.  But I guess I have to try. From January 29th to February 2nd I had the opportunity to go to camp with the kids from Carpio.  The kids look forward to this opportunity all year long.   Instead of being cramped up in their houses and their concrete playgrounds in Carpio it gives them the opportunity to run and play outside in the green grass and have fun.  They also have the opportunity to be fed both physically and spiritually.  This year the bible study of the week was about Joseph.  Not only did the lessons speak to some of the kids it spoke to me al...

Kids club

So since school is out for their "summer" break kids club on Mondays and Wednesdays have been a little different.  We have been meeting at the churches that we normally have the clubs and then walk to Renuevos.  Depending on what day it is, its either a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute walk.  But because of this, the kids are able to run and play in green grass instead of on concrete.  And let me tell you the kids love it!  It's worth the walk. The kids find many different things to do at Renuevos.  Whether it is playing soccer or on the swing set they have so much fun being able to run around.  But I think their absolute favorite thing to do is go Costa Rican sledding.  Which includes taking cardboard and sledding down a hill. Its been fun to watch them sled down the hill.
